Ross Joyce will be the man in the middle for the Iron's home league encounter against Leyton Orient on Saturday.
The Cleveland-based official travels to the Sands Venue Stadium for his 14th game of the campaign and his fifth in Sky Bet League Two. Joyce is currently in his sixth season as an EFL match official.
His first game of the campaign was Preston North End's emphatic 4-0 home win over Mansfield Town in Round One of the Carabao Cup - a game in which he issued four cautions. Meanwhile, his latest encounter was in the Emirates FA Cup second round when he oversaw Marine's historic 1-0 win over Havant and Waterlooville in extra time. Eleven yellow cards were issued in the game, and one red card (which was a second cautionable offence).
He's taken charge of the Iron on eight occasions in total, including our home defeat against Forest Green Rovers earlier this season. Three cautions were issued in the game, with Scunthorpe's two cards going to Jacob Bedeau and Lewis Spence. In the eight previous games, he's shown 26 yellow cards and no reds.
Meanwhile, he's refereed Leyton Orient on just two previous occasions. Both of those games came back in 2015-16 with Joyce observing one draw and one defeat for the O's. He's issued a total of seven yellow cards and one red across the two matches.
In 2018-19, he took charge of 44 games, including back-to-back visits to Wembley, taking charge of the FA Vase Final and the Sky Bet League Two Play-Off Final.
Last season, he issued 115 yellow cards and three reds in 27 games. So far in this campaign, he has officiated in 13 encounters, showing 51 yellows and two reds.
On Saturday, Joyce will be assisted by Andrew Dallison and Alistair Nelson, while Hristo Karaivanov has been appointed as the fourth official.
