Clarke signs new deal and is named club captain

Scunthorpe United is delighted to confirm defender Jordan Clarke has signed a new one-year contract, and he will also become the new club captain.

The 28-year-old originally joined for an undisclosed fee in January 2015 from Coventry City and has made a total of 155 appearances for the Iron, scoring on four occasions.

Our longest-serving first team player, Clarke was a key part of the sides that made the League One play-offs in 2016-17 and 2017-18.

He has made a total of 306 career appearances, scoring 11 times.
