Darren Drysdale will be the man in the middle for the Iron's home league clash against Oldham Athletic on Tuesday.
The Lincolnshire-based official will travel to the Sands Venue Stadium for his ninth game of the campaign and his third in Sky Bet League Two.
His first game of the campaign was Colchester United's 1-1 home draw with Port Vale on the opening day of the season, where he showed three yellow cards. He most recently issued four yellow cards on Saturday when he took charge of Peterborough United's 6-0 home win over Rochdale.
He's taken charge of the Iron on nine occasions in total, most recently last December when he oversaw the 1-0 home victory over Wycombe Wanderers. He showed five yellow cards in that game.
Of those encounters involving United, six of them have come at the Sands Venue Stadium, so Tuesday will be Drysdale's seventh appointment with the whistle at the stadium. In the nine games refereeing Scunthorpe, he's issued 30 yellow cards and no red.
Meanwhile, he's refereed Oldham Athletic on 17 occasions - most recently back in February when he oversaw Bury's 3-1 home victory over the Latics. In total, across the 17 games, he's shown 62 yellow cards and five reds.
In 2018-19, he took charge of 38 games, issuing 129 yellow cards and six reds. So far in this campaign, he has officiated in eight encounters, showing 23 yellows and no reds.
On Tuesday, Drysdale will be assisted by Declan Ford and Stephen Wade, while Christopher Ward has been appointed as the fourth official.
