Preview: Mansfield Town U18s (A)

18 October 2019

The Iron's Under-18 side will be looking to make it two wins in succession when they make the trip to face Mansfield Town at the One Call Stadium this Saturday (11am kick-off).

We will have live updates from the game on the SUFC Academy Twitter account, which can be accessed by clicking here. If you're planning to attend the game, address details are The One Call Stadium, Quarry Lane, Mansfield, NG18 5DA.

Supporters are welcome to attend the game for free. Entry to the stadium will be available via the main entrance to Sandy's Bar & Kitchen, adjacent to the Ian Greaves Stand.

Fans will be housed in the lower tier of the Ian Greaves Stand for the match.

SCENE-SETTER

The side head into the encounter off the back of a 2-0 home win over Lincoln City at Appleby-Frodingham last Saturday.

The Iron took the lead early in the second-half through a Harry Jessop penalty, while they then netted again late on with a Raynner Silva strike.

The Stags come into the game on the back of a 3-1 home defeat by Bradford City last time out, although they had won their previous four league fixtures.

They sit second in the division, although Scunthorpe sit fourth and two points behind with two games in hand, so a tight encounter is expected.
