United were beaten 3-1 away at Rochdale last weekend, which included a debut goal for Jordan Hallam in the first-half.

That result meant the Iron moved down to 18th in Sky Bet League One, just two points above the relegation zone.

The Dons also come into the match following a defeat. They won three games in a row before they lost 4-2 at home to Gillingham last Saturday.

Managed by Wally Downes, Wimbledon sit just above the bottom of the table in 23rd.

Dawson reported no fresh injury worries heading into the match, with Kevin van Veen returning from a two-match suspension, and Tom Pearce and George Thomas back from international duty.

Josh Morris and Jordan Clarke are back on the training pitch but will still be out of action for an unspecified length of time as the medical staff continue to monitor them.

Elsewhere, Ryan Colclough (knee) is out for the remainder of the season. Rory Watson (arm) also looks likely to be out for the rest of the season following surgery last month.

Matthew Lund is out until April after a clean-up operation on a knee problem.

Earlier in the season, Scunthorpe beat AFC Wimbledon 3-2 away from home. A Josh Morris double fired the Iron in front, before Ike Ugbo scored just after half-time to secure the three points. The Iron have faced AFC Wimbledon nine times altogether, with United winning on two occasions.
