Burton United U9s enjoy flag bearing experience

8 October 2018

Local junior football side Burton United U9s were able to form a guard of honour for both the Iron and Charlton Athletic last Tuesday.

Twelve players from the side were present to enjoy the experience, which saw them allowed onto the pitch prior to kick-off for a flag bearing experience.

They welcomed both teams onto the pitch, taking advantage of group booking prices, before enjoying the encounter against the Addicks from the Lincolnshire Co-op Family Zone of the SPB Stand.

Prior to the game, the side took advantage of a behind-the-scenes tour opportunity, which allowed them into otherwise restricted areas of the stadium. The group were able to pretend they were being interviewed in front of our press conference boards in the press room, before they gained access to the club's boot room.

The final stop was the home dressing room, where they were able to meet the players, gain autographs and pictures before the tour came to an end.

Following the experience, Lesley Potts messaged: "They had an absolute ball!"

We now have only very limited availability remaining for flag bearing in the 2018-19 campaign. We do, however, have availability for our brand new flag package. Click here for more details.
