United lost to Plymouth Argyle at Glanford Park last weekend, but Ugbo is focussed on bouncing back.

Previewing the Oxford game, the on-loan forward discussed his return from injury and the side’s recent results.

He told iFollow Iron: “It was a disappointing result last Saturday, but it is about how we bounce back so we can try and go on another winning run.”

Ugbo started his first game since returning from a hamstring injury last weekend and he admits that he is close to full fitness again.

“Missing three weeks was a big disappointment for me, but I am happy to be back and I am getting back to my full fitness,” said the 20-year-old.

“I want to get myself back playing well for the team, doing the best I can to make sure we get the three points.”

The striker also stressed the importance of getting a win at home on Saturday.

He said: “It is very important for our confidence so we can get ourselves back up the table.

“We have to focus on ourselves and try not to make the same mistakes that we have been making.

“We need to stay strong at the back, score as many goals as we can and try and kill the game off early.”
