United fans will put in more miles following their team in Sky Bet League One next season - 296 more than in the last campaign in fact.
Last season, Scunthorpe travelled 6,530 miles both ways in the 23 regular away league games.
In 2018-19 though, supporters going to every away league match will travel 6,826 miles to support the Iron.
The promotion of Blackburn Rovers and Wigan Athletic to the Championship, last season's joint eighth shortest trip and the introduction of trips to promoted sides Luton Town and Wycombe Wanderers have added mileage to the schedule.
Accrington Stanley was also triumphant from Sky Bet League Two last campaign and is another trip that is beyond the 100-mile bracket next season, as does relegated side Sunderland.
Barnsley and Burton Albion come into the division through the Championship’s trap door and slot in among United’s shortest trips, while Rotherham’s promotion via the play-offs means there’s only one trip under 50 miles for Scunthorpe next season.
The longest away day of the campaign will be the 319-mile journey to Plymouth's Home Park - the same as it was in 2017-18.
