Scunthorpe United are delighted to welcome back Rainham Steel as the club’s new front of shirt sponsor for the 2018/19 campaign.
The Essex-based company, who have their flagship distribution depot in Scunthorpe, will return for their ninth season as the Iron’s front of shirt sponsor, following a consecutive spell between 2007 and 2015.
They have remained partners with the club since then and the brand-new agreement will see the Rainham Steel logo return to the front of the first team’s home, away and third shirt.
Scunthorpe United’s Chief Executive Officer, James Rodwell, said: “We are delighted to have Rainham Steel return as our main shirt sponsor for the coming season. They are a company with a global brand that are well-known throughout the world for their quality steel products.”
He added: “With their main distribution depot here in the town, they also have a very close connection to our local community and we look forward to working with them to continue the long-standing partnership between the company and the football club.”
Commercial Director for Rainham Steel, Trevor Webb, commented on the partnership: “We are very pleased to be returning as front of shirt sponsors of Scunthorpe United for the forthcoming season. The directors and our employees are proud and excited of the association with the club and everyone at Rainham Steel wishes Scunthorpe United the best of luck for the season ahead, which we hope will end in promotion to the Championship.”
The club can confirm that the brand new 2018/19 kits will be revealed for the first time and made available to pre-order in early July at a special launch event. This will feature the winner of the prize draw from the supporters’ kit design vote, which helped choose the design for the new home kit.
They will be available in-store from Wednesday 25th July to coincide with the team wearing them for the first time in a pre-season friendly against Championship outfit Nottingham Forest at Glanford Park.
