Morris played over 60 games for the Cod Army and knows it will be a tough match.

He spoke to iFollow Iron ahead of the game, while also assessing the Iron’s January transfer business.

ON TRAINING THIS WEEK…
JM: We’ve gone through the game and looked where we need to improve. We have tried to work hard this week and hopefully we can have a better result on Saturday.

ON THE DEFEAT AT SOUTHEND…
JM: It is a tough place to go and you know what to expect, but I don’t think we stood up to that at times. It up to us now to bounce back on Saturday and make sure we get a good result.

ON BOUNCING BACK…
JM: You have to show belief. It is a tough league and anyone can beat anyone, playing Saturday, Tuesday, Saturday, Tuesday. The team know what to expect and we know what to do. We know how to win games and that is the main thing. We have got to show what we can do. I think if we can attack teams we can carve them open and create chances. We have got to get back to that and make sure we play with a positive mind and go for it.

"We are still up there and have got a great chance. It is up to us to go for it now and give it all."

ON STILL BEING IN FOURTH POSITION…
JM: We are still up there and have got a great chance. It is up to us to go for it now and give it all.

ON RETURNING TO FLEETWOOD TOWN…
JM: I’m looking forward to going back, as I had a good time there. There are a lot of different players and staff there from when I was there. The captain Nathan Pond is still there, the rest of them is a complete overhaul. They are not doing too bad. It will be a tough game at a tight ground and pitch. It should be a good atmosphere.

ON THE TRANSFER WINDOW…
JM: We have strengthened where we needed to, with getting in a right-back on Wednesday night. I think I played against Marnick (Vermijl) when I was at Blackburn. He has been at Manchester United for a long time and he will be a good attacking full-back for us. With Jordan (Clarke) being out injured, it is what we needed to do. We need to make sure that we pick up as many results as we can.

ON THE IRON FANS…
JM: They have been great. We had a great atmosphere here last Tuesday night against Doncaster. It was just a shame we couldn’t get the result for them. It has been a good following wherever we go and I’m expecting Saturday to be no different.
