Despite not picking up all three points at Glanford Park, Wallace is taking the positives from the match, as United remain unbeaten in the league, recording their fourth clean sheet in a row.

The 24-year-old spoke to iFollow Iron after the game.

ON THE 0-0 DRAW…
MW: It was a tough game. They had a good shape and were hard to break down. They defended very well and looked a bit threatening on the counter attack, they’ve got good pace. Apart from that, I think we controlled a lot of the game, but we struggled to break them down.

ON KEEPING ANOTHER CLEAN SHEET…
MW: We’ve got to take the positives from the game and that’s another clean sheet and four in a row. Obviously if we’re keeping clean sheets, then we can’t lose the game. I think you can see we are all gelling together. Matt Gilks is great at organising us and pulls off some great saves. When balls are getting whipped in around the box, you need leaders to organise and that’s what Gilks, Rory McArdle and, to be fair, most of the team do.

"They’ve just come down, had another good result and have got a good team. We will expect another hard game."

ON BLACKPOOL…
MW: They were very well drilled and you could see that. We had a lot of the ball in their half, but it was just side to side. To be fair to them, they concentrated and kept their shape well.

ON TUESDAY’S GAME AGAINST BLACKBURN…
MW: They will be a good side. There are no easy games in this league. They’ve just come down, had another good result and have got a good team. We will expect another hard game.

ON HIS OVERHEAD KICK ATTEMPT…
MW: I try at least one a season. Sometimes they don’t come off. I got a good contact on it, but I didn’t see where it went! I presume it went just a bit wide.
