The former Charlton Athletic player, who joined the club on Transfer Deadline Day, was drafted in for his second start for the club in last weekend's goalless FA Cup encounter against Northampton Town.

The 33-year-old spoke to iFollow Iron about his hopes to put a run of games together and the encounters that are forthcoming.

ON LAST WEEKEND'S GAME...
AC: To get 90 minutes was pleasing and I felt good as well. It's about getting into that routine now and getting those match minutes and that sharpness. It obviously wasn't a great spectacle, but we're in the hat for the next round. Hopefully we can win that replay next Tuesday, but Saturday is the most important focus.

ON A POTENTIAL ROUND TWO TIE AT DONCASTER...
AC: It obviously puts even bigger emphasis on the replay because everyone loves to play in derby games. First and foremost, we have to get past Northampton and hopefully we can do that.

ON HIS FITNESS...
AC: I'm feeling good. We had a light session on Monday and a really tough day on Tuesday. I'm finding that routine now and hopefully I can just kick on from here. I only missed one game (after my debut against Rotherham) so it was nothing bad. It was frustrating to sign and get a contact injury after not missing a second last season. Every player will tell you, once you get five or six games under your belt it becomes easier

ON NEARING A HOME DEBUT...
AC: I can't wait to be fair. We trained on the pitch a day before the Northampton tie last week and it was nice to get out there. I can't wait to hopefully get that home debut soon and the sooner it comes the better.

ON BRISTOL ROVERS...
AC: They've got some good players and we know it'll be a tough game. It's a really tight league and we have to make sure we're on our game and driving our standards. We had some good times against them last year for Charlton. I think we beat them 5-1 and 4-1, but I'm under no illusions it'll be a tough game. You've got to admire what they've done going from non-league back to League One and they play some good stuff, with a good, young manager.
