United fans will put in more miles following their team in Sky Bet League One next season - 340 more than in the last campaign in fact.
Last season, Scunthorpe travelled 6,190 miles both ways in the 23 regular away league games.
In 2017/18 though, supporters going to every away match will travel 6,530 miles to support the Iron.
The promotion of Sheffield United to the Championship, last season's shortest trip, is cancelled out by the return of Doncaster Rovers to the division; 2015/16's quickest journey. The club's second shortest trip has also altered following Chesterfield's relegation, with Rotherham United filling that void following their demotion from the Championship.
However, Portsmouth and Plymouth Argyle were all triumphant from Sky Bet League Two last campaign and add to Scunthorpe's miles for the forthcoming campaign.
With Sheffield United, Bolton Wanderers, Chesterfield and Coventry City exiting the division, the number of journeys below 100 miles is reduced from nine to seven, with trips to Wigan Athletic and Blackburn Rovers just exceeding the century barrier.
The longest away day of the campaign will be the 319-mile journey to Plymouth's Home Park.
