IRON QUARTET EMBARKING ON "FOOTBALL 2 AMSTERDAM" RIDE

15 March 2017

The Iron will represented by a quartet in this year's 'Football 2 Amsterdam' charity bike ride.

A trio of Grice's - Adam, Club Secretary of the football club, his auntie Marie and cousin Hayley - and First Team Coach Nick Daws will take part in the 145 mile bike ride over two days, raising money for Prostate Cancer UK.

Adam is taking part in the challenge for the third year in a row.

All four will be sporting personalised jerseys, designed in the style of the current home kit, with companies able to sponsor spaces on the jersey to be seen over the course of the route, on promotional videos and images and featured on our updates as they embark on the ride.

Setting off from Oakwell, the home of Barnsley Football Club, day one of the ride sees them journey 69 miles to Craven Park in Hull before resting on an overnight ferry to the Hook of Holland. Day two is 77 miles worth of cycling with the final destination the Amsterdam Arena.

As a foursome, they have to raise a total of £4,000, so need as much support as they can get to reach and exceed their target.

If you're a company and want to get involved in sponsoring the personalised jersey, please contact adam.grice@scunthorpe-united.co.uk.
