Tremendous turnout for Grassroots Football Day expected tomorrow with over 1,100 tickets sold in the AMS Stand...
Over the past five or six weeks, we have advertised a Grassroots Football Day offer which has seen a big amount of interest from local junior football clubs.
You may notice tomorrow afternoon that the AMS Stand isn't housing the visiting Fleetwood Town supporters, but instead is welcoming over 60 local junior football clubs through the turnstiles at Glanford Park.
A big welcome to all the teams arriving at Glanford Park and for the first time in almost four years, the Iron will be supported from all four stands of Glanford Park in a battle of second versus third.
The Iron are welcoming teams from under-6's right the way through to under-17's this afternoon, with teams that play in the Caparo League, the Jack Kalson League, the Lincolnshire Girls League and other local leagues in Scunthorpe and the surrounding areas all showing us their support against the Cod Army.
We are welcoming teams, of varying ages, from the following local clubs:

-> Winterton Rangers
Broughton Ravers U8's will be flag bearing the two teams onto the pitch this afternoon and we hope they enjoy their added incentive this afternoon. As attendees of this event, you will be entered into free prize draws, including the visit of Graham Alexander to one of your training sessions. We will announce the winners of the competitions next week.
Thank you for your support - and remember, you can take advantage of group booking rates once per team throughout the season, or register your interest to be flag bearers as the teams walk out. We have very limited availability remaining for the 2016/17 campaign, but remember the opportunity will be available in future campaigns. Offer price may vary.
