Iron "Football to Amsterdam" cycling jerseys revealed

2 June 2017

With the "Football to Amsterdam" charity bike ride now two weeks away, the cycling jerseys which our quartet are wearing can now be revealed.

First team coach Nick Daws, assistant club secretary Adam Grice and his relatives Marie and Hayley are all taking part in the 145-mile ride in aid of Prostate Cancer UK, representing Scunthorpe United.

The quartet will set off from Barnsley's Oakwell Stadium on Friday, June 9, 2017.

The jerseys are custom designed, taking on the design of the Iron's 2016-17 replica shirt, but holding a number of sponsors across the jersey after kind donations from a number of companies, aiding the foursome to reach their target of £4,000.

Doncaster-based company Coolcare Logistics, a frozen food distributor, provided the front of shirt sponsorship to cover the costs of the shirts.

Other shirt sponsors include; Southern & Redfern Industrial Solutions LTD, Pennine Pneumatic Services (PPS) LTD, JEM Sports Management, Scunthorpe United Community Sports & Education Trust, DM Electrical, Ziniz at Bawtry, Rigel Wolf Chartered Accountants, Redroad FM, Cube and The Blues Club.

The jerseys were designed and made by Godfrey Sports Limited in Nottingham.

There's still time to donate to the cause by visiting https://www.justgiving.com/companyteams/ScunthorpeUnitedFC
