Ticketing update

21 July 2017

The Iron can provide an update on the installation of our state of the art brand new ticketing system, which will see significant improvements to the supporter experience.

As mentioned in our story back in June (click here to read), a new scanning entry system is being installed, while ‘ticket to mobile’ and ‘print at home’ options will also be available.

As a result of the new partnership with Venue Management Systems, supporters will be able to take advantage of greater flexibility in how they receive their match tickets, as well as reducing queuing times on matchdays. Meanwhile, individual tickets for season ticket holders will no longer be required, as these will be replaced with a card.

A brand new server has now been installed and wiring around the stadium has been completed, connecting the turnstiles together. The turnstile units are now in the final phase of testing.

A brand new online ticketing site has been set up and is also in the final stages of testing and payment integration.

The software is now installed at the club for ticket sales and is in the final stages of testing, as our staff iron out any minor issues.

12th Man package season tickets are being transferred and are still on course for the season cards to be collected from the week commencing July 24th.

As things stand and barring any problems, tickets for the home friendly against Sunderland on July 26th will go on sale by the end of this week, although there will be cash turnstiles in operation on the day.
