Almost £1,000 raised in memory of Bradley Lowery

With all donations collected and counted, the Iron are pleased to announce that £953.88 was raised for the Bradley Lowery Foundation.

Sunderland the visitors to Glanford Park on Wednesday and it was a fitting time to remember the six-year-old's courageous life and battle with Neuroblastoma after sadly passing away earlier this month.

250 blue balloons were released during a one-minute applause to celebrate his life ahead of kick-off, while bucket collectors and club staff wore t-shirts during the course of the day.

United's players all contributed a sizeable group donation to the final tally ahead of the fixture, while Scunthorpe United staff also donated money on the day of Bradley's funeral when wearing football jerseys in his memory.

The club would like to thank all supporters of both teams who donated and also those who gave their time ahead of the game to volunteer as a bucket collector. A big thank you also has to go to Unique Party and Bapp for Bolts, who provided the balloons, the helium and the t-shirts, respectively.
