Ahead of the game, the former Huddersfield man spoke about the match, last week’s win over Charlton and how he’s finding playing at left-back.

ON THE UPCOMING FA CUP GAME…
MW:
We’ve got the cup game on Sunday and the Checkatrade Trophy game on Tuesday so we have two cup games in a row. They’ll be big games as we want to progress to the next round.

ON PLAYING DONCASTER FOR THE THIRD TIME THIS SEASON…
MW:
I imagine that after going there and beating them in the league, they will be out for a little revenge. Also, it’s a bit of a derby so they will be fired up, it’ll be a really tough game.

ON THE IRON’S SIXTH LEAGUE WIN IN A ROW LAST WEEKEND…
MW:
The more wins you get, the higher the confidence levels are and the bigger the winning mentality of the team becomes.

ON CAMERON BURGESS’ PERFORMANCES SINCE COMING INTO THE FIRST-TEAM…
MW:
I’m delighted for him because he has been working really hard. He’s a great player. I think that he’s slotted in well there and is performing well.

ON HIS PERFORMANCES AT LEFT-BACK…
MW:
I think that I’m doing okay. It’s not completely unfamiliar to me but I’m having to get used to and remember certain things as it’s slightly different from playing at centre-back.

ON HOW IT’S DIFFERENT TO PLAYING AS A CENTRE-BACK…
MW:
There’s a lot more running up and down the channels so it tests your fitness. You have to get into the opposition’s half a little more and try to be an attacking threat, which I’m trying to do as well.

ON HIS ATTACKING EFFORTS PAYING OFF WITH HELPING SET UP THE WINNER AT OLDHAM…
MW:
I don’t think it was a pass but more of a tackle. However, you have to get into those positions and defend from a higher position. Luckily, on that occasion it fell to Josh (Morris) and he did the rest before laying it off to Duane Holmes.
