VACANCY: COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT OFFICER

The Iron and the SUFC Community Sport and Education Trust (CSET) are looking to recruit a Community Engagement Officer to work across a variety of projects at the football club and in the community.

The role will play an important part in promoting the football club and CSET’s work in the community with responsibilities including keeping the CSET website and social media channels updated with key information, as well as reporting on the events, player visits and other aspects of work in the community.

An important aspect of the role will be working with key partners for the delivery and development of the club’s community ticketing initiatives in schools and wider community groups.

The role is initially 16 hours per week plus home matchdays with some flexibility required. It does provide scope to grow the role into something further depending on the success the applicant makes of it.

You will need to be driven, enthusiastic, organised, personable and a good communicator with the ability to work as part of a team as well as using your own initiative. Excellent writing skills and a keen eye for detail are important while experience of marketing and using various social media platforms is desirable.
