Christopher Sarginson will referee the Iron’s Emirates FA Cup first round clash with Charlton Athletic at the Valley on Saturday.

Sarginson has already taken charge of 13 matches so far this season and, in those games, he’s produced 43 yellow cards and dismissed two players.

He’s already officiated one United match in the current campaign, as the Iron drew 0-0 with Saturday’s opponents at Glanford Park back in September.

Throughout the 2015-16 campaign, the official took charge of 31 games, cautioning 91 players and sending off two.

He’ll be joined on Saturday by assistant referees Marvyn Amphlett and Daniel Robathan, with Graham Kane taking up the role of fourth official.
