LEAGUE ONE LINE-UP COMPLETE FOR 2016-17

30 May 2016

AFC Wimbledon defeated Plymouth Argyle 2-0 in the League Two play-off final on Monday.

They secured promotion to League One as a result, and complete the line-up of teams the Iron will face in 2016-17.

Ex-Iron striker Lyle Taylor, who scored their first goal in the second half, could face his former club next season - along with Andy Barcham, Callum Kennedy and assistant manager Neil Cox.

Barnsley secured promotion to the Championship following a 3-1 victory over Millwall in the play-off final at Wembley on Sunday. It means the Lions stay in the third tier.

Securing automatic promotion to League One are Northampton Town, Oxford United and Bristol Rovers, all of whom the Iron face for the first time since 2013-14.

Entering the English Football League's third division after being relegated from the Championship are Bolton Wanderers, Charlton Athletic and Milton Keynes Dons.

The home fixture against the Trotters will be their first competitive visit to Glanford Park, while United will face the Addicks for the first time since 2012.

Milton Keynes Dons return to the third tier after one season in the Championship.
