WE JUST NEED TO KEEP IT ROLLING NOW

16 February 2016

Heading into the away clash at Millwall, goalkeeper Luke Daniels says his side want to keep the pace going and see how far they can get.

Scunthorpe enter the game on the back of three wins in a row and will be looking to try and close the points gap on the Lions with a win on Tuesday night, as well as continue their climb up the League One table.

Confidence is high after an excellent display saw the Iron see off play-off challengers Southend 1-0 at Glanford Park on Saturday.

“It was a really good performance by us on Saturday, so we are hoping to take that on into Tuesday and kick on,” Daniels told The Iron PlayerHD.

“Obviously we have been quite solid at the back and the players have been putting their bodies on the line.

“It is what it is, three wins, and that’s the most important thing.”

Luke Daniels feels the Iron are moving in the right direction.

Focusing on the challenge sixth-placed Millwall pose, he added: “There aren’t many easy games in this division so we know what they’re about. It will be a physical game but we’re looking forward to it and hope to rise to the occasion.

“We know how they will play and they will be a tough handful for the back players, and as a team in general. We’re looking forward to it, it will be a good challenge but one we think we’re more than capable of dealing with.

“We just need to keep it rolling now, without getting complacent about things and thinking we’ve finally cracked it. We still have a long way to go but it’s heading in the right direction.”
