United have completed the loan signing of Coventry City midfielder Jim O’Brien on an emergency loan.The 29-year-old began his career at Celtic, where he made two appearances, before a move to Motherwell. He spent two seasons with the latter, appearing 72 times and scoring four goals.
The Scot joined Barnsley in the summer of 2010, where he spent four years and scored eight goals in 133 appearances.
A move to the Sky Blues followed in July 2014 and he has made 77 appearances for them so far, scoring on eight occasions. 29 of those appearances have come this season, and he has scored twice this term.
