LOAN WATCH

9 December 2016

Taking a look at the players currently on loan away from Glanford Park…

As usual, we’ll round up the fortunes of all United’s squad members who are away from the club on loan. Seven Scunthorpe players are plying their trade away from the club on a temporary basis and, as ever, Loan Watch has it all covered.

Since the last Loan Watch roundup, Noel Burdett has secured a move to Gainsborough Trinity and the attacker, who previously spent time at Frickley Athletic, has made one substitute appearance in his time at the Northolme so far.

We confirmed in the last roundup that Levi Sutton had joined North Ferriby on loan, and the 20-year-old has featured on two occasions for his new club, starting in games against Solihull Moors and Chester.

Sutton’s fellow loanee Kyle Wootton has impressed also, picking up the man of the match award in a 1-0 win against Gateshead.

Scott Laird’s Walsall haven’t been in action since our last update, but they return to league matters on Saturday when they take on Fleetwood Town at Highbury.

Down south at Broadhall Way, Jack King and Stevenage have since picked up three more points, in a 2-0 away victory over Newport County. They did lose a 4-3 thriller at home to Doncaster Rovers however, with King playing 90 minutes in both matches.

Grimsby Town manager Marcus Bignot revealed that he may not have Dominic Vose at his disposal until Boxing Day, after the midfielder sustained an injury. However, he’s hopeful he’ll be back for the clash against Doncaster Rovers.

Jack Dyche is getting closer to making his return to the field with Ashton United too, after almost a three-month layoff.
