LOAN WATCH

18 April 2016

We take a look at the four players currently out on loan from Glanford Park...

Gary McSheffrey joined the Iron's Luke Williams in most of the national newspapers' teams of the week on Sunday after his brilliant performance in Doncaster Rovers' first victory since January 2.

They toppled the league leaders Wigan Athletic with former United defender Andy Butler getting a brace to turn the scores around in five second-half minutes. McSheffrey assisted Butler's second and also won the penalty which saw David Perkins sent off four minutes from time.

Kevin van Veen was a used substitute in Sunday's 2-1 away defeat to NEC Nikmegen, coming on at half time for Sander van der Streek with the score at 0-0. The hosts went two goals up before Jerge Hoefdraad halved the deficit for SC Cambuur.

Andrew Boyce was absent from the squad in Nott County's 5-0 away defeat to local rivals Mansfield Town. 1-0 down at half time, the hosts scored three goals in ten minutes to solidify the scoreline, before a late strike made it a five-star performance.

Elsewhere, Niall Canavan has missed the last two Rochdale games through injury - in victories over Peterborough United and Blackpool. His last appearance saw him net the equaliser against Doncaster in stoppage time a fortnight ago.
