Hearing of imminent job losses at our very own steelworks here in Scunthorpe, has certainly tempered our recent good run of performances on the field.
This will affect the community and as its football club we feel showing our support is crucial, and we intend to do just that.With this in mind the football club are currently working to arrange for one of our home matches to be dedicated to the steel workers and their families.
We had thought of this weekend but we had committed to Prostate Cancer UK, which in itself is so important to us and we did not want a shared day.
It is so important to show our solidarity, so a match completely dedicated to the cause will be arranged in the near future, so we can all show our support.
