THE WISH APPEAL RAISE £3,520

13 May 2015

Local charity WISH Appeal have raised £3,520 in a recent event held at Lincolnshire House on Brumby Wood Lane.

The WISH (Where Independence Starts at Home) Appeal was launched in April 2005, with the initial objective of the appeal to raise monies to develop existing accommodation into independent living flats.

The charity, following completion of that initiative and many others, now raise monies to put en-suites into Woodlands and Genesis as this is the only bungalow on site that does not have this facility.

In a letter to Lee Turnbull, chief executive of the Scunthorpe United Trust, Ms D. McCool - the administrator - wrote: "On April 27, a Sportman's Evening was held at Lincolnshire House with our patron, Mr Graham Taylor OBE, Peter Swann, George Kerr and yourself, as a fundraising event in aid of the WISH Appeal.

"We would like to thank you for supporting this event. The evening was very successful and raised £3,520 for the WISH Appeal.

"On behalf of the residents and staff, I would like to say thank you for your support to Lincolnshire House."
