Patients and staff at Lindsey Lodge Hospice have given their thanks to all Iron supporters who kindly donated during their bucket collection.
Representatives from the hospice attended Scunthorpe United's clash with Sheffield United on December 19 to raise funds for the local branch who rely on donations and fundraising to provide their fantastic services day-by-day.
The team of hospice volunteers collected £876 which will be matched by logistics company DHL making it over £1,750 towards hospice patient care.
Mel Banham, Head of Fundraising at Lindsey Lodge Hospice said, "It was so kind of Scunthorpe United to allow our collection and welcome the team of voluntary collectors. We applaud both sets of supporters who dug deep to fill our buckets as well as generous company DHL which is matching the amount raised.
"It all helps make it a more merry Christmas at Lindsey Lodge Hospice."
The club would also like to extend their thanks to the generosity of both Iron supporters and the supporters of Sheffield United for donating to Lindsey Lodge at this important time of the year.
