Firstly I would like to wish all our fans, staff, players and management a wonderful Christmas.
If you are travelling over this period be safe and most of all enjoy yourselves.
We have got a very important run of fixtures coming up that will undoubtedly forge what we do for the rest of the season and of course a superb game at Chelsea to look forward to.
It has not been plain sailing this season but I am hopeful we can turn it around and deliver the football and the results we can be proud of.
The club continues to change and develop it's business plan with new faces and systems at the club, all we ask is that you be patient with us where it is not quite working, give us feedback and we will get it right.
Happy to say that things have progressed on the stadium, although a few issues around highways access and the agreement between the council and Lucents have held it up slightly. We need to ensure that we have proper access to the new ground and to do that, and complete the stadium, we need to put back the date of completion to March 2017. That will hopefully give us time to continue our work with the potential new tenants, which is going well and to complete the other developments on the site in readiness for an opening. Site investigations have been ongoing, so we are ready as soon as we have the land delivered to us sometime in February 2016.
We as a family continue to support the football club during this build time and with a bit of luck can also get things right on the pitch.
That is not the easy part but we will always give 100% in our decisions and choices and we know they will not be always the popular ones. These decisions can be difficult and taxing at times, but we are here to make those and stand by them.
So please have a great Christmas, the club is in safe hands and as always,
Up The Iron!
