GETTING TO BURTON

7 August 2015

The Iron will be looking to kick off their season in style when they visit Burton Albion on Saturday.

It will be our second ever trip to face the Brewers, who are now managed by Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.

THE PIRELLI STADIUM…
Albion play at the Pirelli Stadium, a new build finished in 2005 with a current capacity of 6912 – mainly terraces and 2034 seats in the South Stand. The Coors East Stand terrace usually houses the away support, up to 1400 people, although the South Stand is sometimes segregated to provide some seating for visiting fans.

The stadium is one of the better away days this season with good facilities, good pubs and a good view.

GETTING THERE…
The journey should take roughly an hour and a half and the quickest way is to follow the M180 from Scunthorpe to the M18 and then onto the M1 (south). At junction 28 leave the motorway and take the third exit at the roundabout onto the A38. Continue to follow the A38 then merge onto the A5121 towards Burton (north). After 9 miles that the 5th exit at the roundabout onto Princess Way. The stadium is a mile down the road.

PARKING…
There’s a large car park at the ground, costing £2. Street parking or parking at a trading estate on the roundabout near Princess way are the cost-free options.
