YOUTHS BEATEN BY GRIMSBY

11 April 2015

The Iron's youth team were beaten 2-0 at Grimsby Town in their final game of the season on Saturday morning.

United had just three second years playing, with four U16's also appearing.

Jack Dyche came close for the Iron, but the windy and blustery conditions had a real impact on the quality of the game overall.

The hosts scored their first goal with a decent strike from distance.

They then capitalised on a defensive mix-up to add a second.

The away team tried to get back into the game, putting pressure on the Mariners, but it wasn't to be - as the season ended in defeat.
