Defender Alex Davey has returned to parent club Chelsea after a calf injury cut short his loan spell with United.
The centre-back was forced off at half-time of the 2-1 home win over Crawley Town a fortnight ago, and has now been ruled out for the remainder of the season.Assistant manager Ned Kelly confirmed the news on Thursday lunchtime, while Davey tweeted: "Gutted to not make it to the end of my loan @SUFCOfficial but I wish them all the best, and would like to say a massive thank you to the staff, players and fans for making my time there a great one, I enjoyed every minute and wish them all the best."
He made 17 appearances while with United, scoring one goal. He signed in late-November.
