RESERVES AWAY AT MANSFIELD TONIGHT

26 February 2014

United’s reserves travel to Rainworth on Wednesday night as they face Mansfield Town in the Central East Division.

This will be the third time the two teams have met in reserve  competitions and, so far, both teams have one win a piece.

United beat the Stags 5-3 at Glanford Park back in October when Hakeeb Adelakun scored a hat-trick but Mansfield beat the Iron 2-0 in their cup match just before Christmas.

Iron boss Russ Wilcox has said the he’ll be fielding a mixed side on Wednesday night.

“I will be playing quite a few of the lads,” he told The Iron Player.

“James Severn will be in goal while Luke Waterfall will play. As will Callum Howe, Andrew Boyce, Andy Dawson and George Grayson.”

Wilcox added: “So you’ll have to say it’ll be a rather strong side.”

Mansfield are offering free entry to tonight’s reserve fixture tonight at Rainworth, which is just south east of Mansfield.

Kick off at Kirklington Road is 7.00pm.

Any supporters wishing to make the journey to the game can use the postcode NG21 0JY in your satnav.
