The Iron have agreed a deal to sign left-back Andy Dawson.
The 34-year-old will sign a one-year contract with a further year's option, taking on a player-coach role.It will be Dawson's second spell at Glanford Park, having made 228 appearances and scoring 11 goals between 1998 and 2003.
He then joined Hull City, with whom he spent the next ten seasons, making 317 appearances and scoring ten goals.
