Our Under-18 side drew 1-1 against their Doncaster Rovers counterparts at Cantley Park on Saturday.

The Iron played some good football, created opportunities and there was some decent positive play in their second league match of the season, as they looked to build on the opening day 3-2 victory over Chesterfield.

United's goal came after some great build-up play on the right. Joe Busby drifted in and produced a brilliant ball over the top for Louis Collins to latch on to and put into the back of the net, lobbing Rovers goalkeeper Declan Ogley.

Doncaster pegged Scunthorpe back in the second half, with an equaliser from Keegan Townrow, but there was plenty to be encouraged by and our Under-18s return to action when they face York City at Appleby-Frodingham's Brumby Hall home next Saturday (11am kick-off).
