Scunthorpe United would like to remind supporters the importance of their conduct when we host Southend United this evening.
The club takes great pride in the passionate backing it receives both home and away, and supporters play a vital role in creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere on matchdays. However, it is essential that this support is expressed in a safe and lawful manner at all times.
Supporters are reminded that entering the field of play is strictly prohibited and constitutes a criminal offence. Any individual found to have encroached onto the pitch will be subject to enforcement action, which may include removal from the stadium, bans from future fixtures, and potential legal consequences.
In addition, the use of pyrotechnics, including flares and smoke devices, is illegal within a football ground. These items present a serious risk to the safety of fellow supporters, players, and matchday staff. Likewise, the throwing of objects, regardless of intent, can lead to significant injury and disruption, and will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
Such actions not only endanger those in attendance but can also result in severe sanctions against the club, including financial penalties and further disciplinary measures imposed by the relevant authorities.
Scunthorpe United is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable environment for everyone attending the fixture this evening. The club therefore urges all supporters to act responsibly, respect fellow fans, and adhere to stadium regulations at all times.
We thank supporters for their continued cooperation and backing, and look forward to your support in helping ensure a positive matchday experience for all.
