Following early consultation with the Voice of the Fans group, it was agreed to issue a charter of their responsibilities to define to the wider fanbase, as follows:
1. Introduction
The Voice of the Fans is established to provide a structured and independent channel through which supporters of Scunthorpe United can contribute to the development, governance, and culture of our football club. This Charter sets out our purpose, principles, and commitments to ensure that the views of the fanbase are heard, respected, and acted upon by the club leadership wherever possible.
2. Purpose
The primary purpose of the Voice of the Fans is to:

3. Core Principles

- Accountability – Remaining answerable to the supporter base and maintaining high standards of integrity.
- Unity – Promoting a culture of “one team” togetherness, recognising supporters as an essential part of the club’s identity and future.
4. Objectives
The Voice of the Fans representatives are committed to:
- Establishing a consistent and accessible forum for consultation with supporters.
- Raising matters of importance on behalf of the fanbase directly with the club’s Board of Directors and club management. All to enable valued discussion and opportunity for incorporation into decision making processes which will benefit the ongoing development of the club.
- Supporting initiatives designed to enhance the matchday experience, community engagement, and supporter well-being.

Amendments may be made following consultation with both the fanbase and the club. The representatives involved in the Voice of the Fans will also be reviewed on a regular basis within the same manner.

Scunthorpe United can confirm a slight increase in matchday prices ahead of the 2026-27 season, as well as the reintroduction of Category A and B fixtures.
Over the past few seasons, just like we have with Season Ticket prices, we’ve worked hard to keep individual match ticket prices as accessible and competitive as possible for our supporters. However, due to increasing operational costs and our continued commitment to moving the club forward, a small adjustment will be introduced for the 2026-27 season.
This keeps our commitment firmly in line that purchasing a season ticket is by far the most cost effective way of supporting us over the course of a season, with the Early Bird window extended until the end of May to continue our commitment to that cause. Purchase your season ticket now to take advantage of the discounts. An adult seated season ticket at the Early Bird rate is representative of just £16.52 per game, a saving of £5.48 per game of the cheapest Early Bird Category B rate. Over the course of the season at the lowest rate, this is a saving of £126.04, and equates to around six league games free per season, as per our ongoing commitment to the value of season tickets.
Furthermore, over the past few seasons, all fixtures have been classified as Category B fixtures. However, ahead of the 2026–27 season, selected matches will now be designated as Category A fixtures due to increased risk levels, resulting in higher stewarding and operational costs.
This change will help the club manage the additional expenses associated with larger attendances, while also ensuring appropriate measures are in place to mitigate the increased risk of misconduct. In turn, this will support the club in handling and responding to any related matters raised with the Football Association appropriately.
Scunthorpe United reserves the right to amend the category of any fixture without notice due to circumstance of the fixture, such as date, occasion or change of risk. Any Category A fixtures will be communicated to supporters once the fixtures are released.

Scunthorpe United is now recruiting for a First Team Grounds Person, offering an exciting opportunity to play a vital role within the First Team Grounds Department at the Attis Arena.
The successful candidate will work under the guidance of the newly appointed First Team Grounds Manager and assist in the maintenance and development of the club’s first team playing surfaces, helping to ensure pitches are prepared to the highest possible standard all year round. Working closely with first team staff and the wider grounds team, the role will contribute directly to supporting player performance through the delivery of elite-level playing conditions.
The club is also making a significant investment into the playing surface and wider pitch operations following a couple of years of inconsistent output. This represents an exciting time to join the department, with a clear focus on raising standards, implementing best practice, and helping to restore the surfaces to the high-quality level the club has been renowned for in previous seasons.
We are looking for an individual with a strong interest or background in sports turf maintenance and pitch care, whether in a professional or educational setting. A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and commitment to maintaining high standards are essential, as is the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Day-to-day responsibilities will include assisting with all routine maintenance practices, supporting pitch preparations, maintaining digital records where required, and helping with the operation of the club’s irrigation systems once trained. The role will also involve general upkeep of surrounding landscaped areas, assisting with basic machinery maintenance, and working alongside contractors when necessary.
This position offers development opportunities within a professional football environment, with the expectation that the successful candidate will grow their knowledge and contribute to maintaining and improving departmental standards.
Applicants should ideally have some experience within sports turf, grounds maintenance, or horticulture, although training will be provided for the right candidate. Relevant qualifications such as an NVQ or Diploma in Turfgrass or Horticulture would be beneficial but are not essential.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join Scunthorpe United and be part of an ambitious and developing grounds team as we look to bring pitch operations back in-house, with work already underway in preparation for the 2026–27 season.
Applicants interested in the role are encouraged to submit a CV and covering letter outlining their suitability to james.moody@scunthorpe-united.co.uk.
The deadline for applications for the role is Friday, June 12th, 2026.
