The Iron signed goalkeeper Rory Watson from Hull City on a free transfer on deadline day of January 2017.
He penned a three-and-a-half-year deal with the club, but completed the 2016/17 season on loan at North Ferriby United, where he had previously been on loan from the Tigers.
A product of the Hull City academy, the goalkeeper has previously been on a one-month loan with Scunthorpe, back in August 2015 to provide cover following a suspension to Luke Daniels.
His first full season here saw Watson make 10 appearances in all competitions.
He started the following year as the main goalkeeper, in the absence of the injured Matt Gilks, and played six games before injury curtailed his season - breaking his arm bravely during the home draw against Barnsley.
The 2019-20 campaign saw him return from that injury, and he made 26 appearances in total across all competitions, before a further 15 appearances during the following season.
