The Iron are back in action on the road again, in hunt for a victory after going three
games winless. Last time out, United travelled to Rochdale to face the table toppers and
left with a positive point.

Cal Roberts opened the score with a solo goal, before the hostshad a bizarre blunder from a spot kick. Dale’s top scorer, Dieseruvwe, went up to the spot and hesitated, resulting in a Scunthorpe free kick. The hosts did eventually strike level through Ryan East before half-time, scoring the final goal of the game.

The Iron look to reignite some form as they travel to Aldershot Town. Andy Butler’s side go into
this game with one win in their last five, in a real rough run of form, whereas our opponents are
unbeaten in their last five with four wins and one draw.

In the reverse fixture, United came out victorious on home soil. Town took the lead, striking early
in the 12th minute through Hady Ghandour. Cal Roberts levelled the score just five minutes
later, before Zain Westbrooke scored in the 32nd minute to put Scunthorpe into the lead,
grabbing what turned out to be the winner.

Two strikers who could cause Scunthorpe's defence some concerns are Hady Ghandour and
Charlie Warren. Ghandour opened the scoring once against Scunthorpe and will be looking to
do the same again. After going nine goals without a goal the striker with five league goals will be
hoping to add to his account this weekend, with the suspension of highly rated Kwame Thomas
after his red card against Halifax Town.

Charlie Warren is a young attacker on loan at the club from Bolton Wanderers and he has been
in serious form since arriving in December. Warren wasn’t in the squad against Yeovil, but
rescued a point against Tamworth striking in the 92nd minute, and got a brace in a 3-2 win over
Halifax. The 22 year old has six league goals in eight appearances, with five goals in his last
four league matches.

The Iron know three points are important to improve squad morale after a rough spell of form
and will be looking to get back to winning ways. Three points would apply pressure to Boreham
Wood level on points above on goal difference, and could close the gap on Carlisle in third
place. Aldershot are also aware a win will keep their positive form going whilst helping them
continue climbing the table.
