Scunthorpe United would like to place on record its sincere thanks to New County Glazing for their outstanding work in upgrading the club’s front windows, transforming the look of the main reception and creating a far more welcoming first impression for supporters, visitors and partners alike.
The project, completed over recent weeks at their facility on Bessemer Way before being installed on Wednesday, has significantly enhanced the stadium’s frontage, modernising the entrance area and reinforcing the club’s commitment to continuous improvement off the pitch.
As a proud local business, New County Glazing worked closely with the club to deliver a high-quality finish that reflects the professional standards and community values shared by both organisations.
Speaking following the installation, John and Danny Carolan of New County Glazing said: “We’re incredibly proud to sponsor our hometown club, Scunthorpe United. Over the past few weeks, we’ve been working hard behind the scenes to give the main reception entrance a fresh new look — a project that means a great deal to us as a local business.
“Supporting Scunthorpe United is a real privilege. The club is the heart of the town, full of passion, pride and community spirit. As a company rooted in Scunthorpe, it’s an honour to give back in any way we can. The club does so much for local people and local businesses, and we’re proud to play our part in supporting both the team and the town we all love.”
Chair Michelle Harness continued: “A huge thank you to John, Danny and the rest of the team at New County Glazing for their fantastic support and professionalism in bringing this vision to life. The entrance to our main reception is often the first impression people have of the club, and thanks to their hard work, that impression is now a fantastic one. It means a great deal to have local businesses like New County Glazing supporting the club in such a meaningful way.
“We’re always proud to partner with local companies that shares our ambition and community values, and we thank New County Glazing for their continued support of Scunthorpe United.”
General Manager James Moody added: “The work of New County Glazing gives our entrance a really fresh look. One of the elements of the club we have consulted on in recent months has been the crest, and this vision has incorporated both our current traditional crest and the popular unity crest, which was more recently used in our 125th anniversary celebrations.
“With the Independent Football Regulator (IFR) coming into place, which will govern and mandate guidance to amend heritage elements of football clubs, such as the crest, we have paused in our consultations to permanently change our crest, as the guidance has not yet been confirmed. However, what supporters will see in the interim, is both being used interchangeably where possible. While our traditional badge will remain our primary crest, at least for now, the Unity badge can be used in projects such as this one, along with on some of our retail range, which has also proved to be very popular.
“Our thanks go to the highly skilled team at New County Glazing who have done a fantastic job with these windows. Their creation displays some incredible skill, and they have many options at their facility, and can create pretty much anything!”
