Scunthorpe United would like to issue an update to supporters who may have witnessed a medical emergency in the Britcon Stand during the first half of Tuesday’s game against York City.

Having remained in close contact with the family overnight and this morning, we can confirm the individual suffered a heart attack, but currently remains stable and is resting at Castle Hill Hospital in Hull.

The family wish to pass on their heartfelt thanks to all involved in immediately responding to the emergency, and for the efforts of the on-duty paramedics last night. Their swift actions to get him blue-lighted hospital undoubtedly saved his life last night.

If there are any further updates we are able to share, we will do so, but at this time everyone at Scunthorpe United sends their best wishes for a speedy recovery, and we look forward to being able to welcome the individual and his family back to the Attis Arena as soon as possible.
