Scunthorpe United would like to remind supporters of the importance of maintaining appropriate conduct when we host Eastleigh on Saturday, April 25th.

In recent seasons, a number of reports have been submitted to the Football Association regarding instances of spectator misconduct. However, aside from a small number of isolated incidents, our supporters, both at home and away, have represented the club in an exemplary manner throughout this season. This is something we are eager to continue in our final games of the season, including the play-offs.

The club was previously charged with misconduct under FA Rule E21 following a fixture during the 2024–25 campaign. It was alleged that Scunthorpe United failed to ensure that spectators and/or individuals claiming to be supporters conducted themselves in an orderly manner while attending the match.

During that game, it was reported that some supporters acted in a manner deemed improper, violent, threatening and/or provocative, in breach of FA Rule E21.1. There were also allegations of pitch encroachment, contrary to FA Rule E21.3.

The club accepted the charge and submitted a detailed mitigation statement. After reviewing the submission, the FA issued a £2,000 fine and a formal warning regarding future conduct.

Supporters are reminded that entering the field of play is a criminal offence. Additionally, the use of pyrotechnics and the throwing of objects not only risk further disciplinary action against the club but also pose a serious danger to fellow spectators, players, and matchday staff.
