The Iron got through their last clash away to a struggling Farsley Celtic side, winning 2-0.

Callum Roberts scored the opener on the 22nd minute mark, before Kian Scales made it two goals in his last two to double the lead, scoring the final goal of the game to confirm all three points. Next up is an away clash against Kidderminster Harriers, where three points would see Scunthorpe move seven points clear of second place.

In the reverse fixture at the Attis Arena, United picked up an important three points winning 2-0 thanks to two second half goals. It was Alfie Beestin and Scales that found the back of the net to lead Scunthorpe to the victory.

Kidderminster Harriers look to have hit a good spell of results after a real rough run of form. Before their last five fixtures, Kidderminster had won just one in their last eight (two draws, five losses). However they are unbeaten in their last five (four wins, one draw), with 17 goals scored in their last five league games and just one goal conceded, the Reds hope to continue this recent form up against an in-form Scunthorpe.

Our opponents have had a mixed record of results at home this season from their 18 league games, (10 wins, three draws and five defeats). Last time out , Kidderminster won in emphatic style away from home 5-0 against South Shields. Reds attacker Ashley Hemmings scored a hat-trick, and Kyle Morrison and Maziar Kouhyar both got on the scoresheet.

Kidderminster Harriers have three forwards who can cause danger to United, two of which were on the scoresheet in their last game against South Shields. Hemmings, Kouhyar, and Amari Morgan-Smith are all key goal scoring threats for the hosts. Hemmings is his side's top scorer and has netted 22 goals this season as well as assisting eight goals, and after bagging a hat-trick he will be full of confidence.

Kouhyar is a winger for the Reds and has been involved in 16 goals for Kidderminster this season, with eight goals and eight assists. On loan from York City the 27-year-old hasn’t failed to impress in his 32 league appearances, since signing on loan in the summer. Number nine and club captain, Morgan-Smith has been an important part of Phil Brown’s squad.

The experienced 35 year old has scored 11 goals this season, and has six assists this season. As both teams go into this fixture in great form, Andy Butler’s side will be hoping to get another important result on the road before the well anticipated clash against Chester on Saturday.
