Scunthorpe United will take on Crowle Colts in a pre-season friendly at Windsor Park on Tuesday, July 15th (7pm kick-off).

The Colts, who are managed by the Iron Foundation’s Gav Cooper, gained promotion to the Northern Counties East division in the summer after three seasons competing in the Lincolnshire League.

Back-to-back winners of the Lincolnshire County Junior Cup, Crowle will welcome the Iron with the hosts a mere two weeks away from the start of their campaign, while it represents another mid-pre-season test for Andy Butler’s side.

The Iron's history against a team from Crowle dates back a long way, but it almost a century since a meeting. The two meetings in the North Lindsey League in 1926-27 saw a Scunthorpe reserve side emerge 10-2 aggregate winners, winning 6-1 away and 4-1 at home, with the last meeting coming on January 29th, 1927.

Cash and contactless payments will be available on the night, with tickets costing £5 for adults, £3 for OAPs and free for under-16s. Tickets are also available in advance by clicking here.

As soon as we have any other pre-season fixtures confirmed, we will announce.
