Scunthorpe United is proud to share that the Lord Mayor of the City of London, Alastair King, donned Scunthorpe United colours during Friday's Lord Mayor's Cup charity football match.

This special occasion not only celebrated a wonderful cause but also honoured the 125th anniversary of our beloved club.

The inaugural Lord Mayor's Cup took place on Friday, June 27th from 12-6pm at Powerleague Shoreditch, with the five-a-side tournament hosted by Lord Mayor Alderman Alastair King DL in aid of The Lord Mayor's Appeal.

Vice Chair Roj Rahman, on behalf of the Board of Directors, commented: "It has been an absolute honour and pleasure to see Alastair represent us, and we look forward to welcoming him and his wife, Florence, to a game next season. They truly are cherished friends of the club!"
