The Iron salvaged a point very late on against Curzon, courtesy of a brilliant strike by Mo Fadera. Next up for Scunthorpe is another home fixture against a struggling Scarborough Athletic.

Scunthorpe go into this clash in stellar form, with four wins in their last four games, and unbeaten in six the Iron are hot on the tails of Chester, with a game in hand United sit just one point behind the table toppers.

Callum Roberts and Danny Whitehall have been the two attackers in fine form all season for Scunthorpe with the pair having a combined 39 goal involvements this season, both have 15 goals, and Roberts has six assists whilst Whitehall has three.

The Iron may have another attacker who can hurt the opposition, Mo Fadera got his first professional goal against Warrington and built on this with his late strike against promotion chasing Chorley on Tuesday. The 20 year old winger on loan from York City is already becoming a handful for defenders and making a huge impact.

Scarborough have found wins hard to come by as of recent times, with just two wins in their last 11 games (six losses and two draws), the Seadogs look desperate for a change in form. Away from home Athletic have failed to impress too after 15 games played they have picked up 18 points from a possible 45, with just four wins, six draws and five losses.

Scarborough winger Dom Tear is having an impressive season for his side having bagged 11 goals and picking up an assist in his 31 appearances, the 25 year old has been crucial to his team. Another danger man for the visitors is ex Iron striker, Richie Bennett, after joining in the summer the 33 year old has scored four and set up two goals this season and could be looking to impress as he faces his old side.

Three points could be enough to put Andy Butler’s side back to top spot, as the Iron look to make it five wins from their last six.
