For the second season in a row, the Iron will challenge for the Lincolnshire Senior Cup at the LNER Stadium, the home of Lincoln City.

The encounter, which will be against either Cleethorpes Town or Stamford, will take place on Tuesday, March 25th (7.45pm kick-off), with ticketing details yet to be confirmed.

Scunthorpe progressed to the final of the competition after seeing off Grimsby Town in the quarter-final, coming from a goal down to beat the Mariners 3-1 courtesy of a brace from Carlton Ubaezuonu and a first goal for Luke Williams since returning to the club, and receiving a bye to the final due to the withdrawal of Spalding United.

Last season, current first team manager Andy Butler captained the side to lift the accolade at the same venue as this season's final, as the Iron came from 2-0 down to beat Spalding United 3-2, with Danny Elliott scoring a hat-trick on the night to turn the outcome on its head.

As soon as we have further details of the final, we will announce.
