Boyce, who’s currently in his second spell in claret and blue joined the Iron originally in 2014 from nearby Lincolnshire neighbours Lincoln City. In his first stint he made 37 appearances for United which included 33 in our 2014-15 League One campaign.
After parting ways with Scunthorpe, Boyce would go on to join the list of names to play for United, Lincoln and Grimsby before finding a permanent team in the form of Eastleigh who he became captain of, making 207 appearances in his time on the south coast.
Since re-joining the Iron as the first signing of the 2022-23 season, Boyce has established himself as a key performer under several managers, and has surpassed 100 appearances for the club which embeds him into the history books. Furthermore, the 34-year-old will be hoping to continue his reign in the side under the guidance of Andy Butler as the Iron aim for promotion back to the National League.
In remaining with the club last season, he was added to a select short list of players to play for the side across four divisions, featuring in League One, League Two, the National League and the National League North.
Reacting to his extension, Boyce said: "It's a privilege to be at this club for the coming season. We are obviously aiming to finish one place higher this season, and I'm so happy to be part of that.
"Let's stick together and go again. Up the Iron!"
