Scunthorpe United has vacancies for part-time academy coaches across all age groups (U9 to U16).
We're seeking to recruit a number of self-motivated, committed, confident and knowledgeable individuals to join the Academy in the numerous part-time coaching positions.
The roles are fundamental to the long term vision of Scunthorpe United Football Club in helping to identify and develop their own players.
The coaching roles include delivering the technical curriculum within the Foundation Phase (U9-U11) and Youth Development Phase (U12-U16). The successful applicants will plan and evaluate all coaching sessions delivered and be required to upload the information onto the Premier League performance management tool (PMA), as part of the players on-going development programme and in line with the Professional Game Academy Audit Company (PGAAC) requirements.
The successful candidates will be expected to work on specific weekday evenings and at weekends covering both the training and the games programme.
The successful candidates will be required to have good knowledge of the game through playing experience and preferably have previous experience of coaching at Academy level. All applicants under the EPPP rules must hold the following mandatory qualifications:
Qualifications:
UEFA B Coaching Licence
FA Youth Award Modules 1, 2 & 3 (or currently in the process of completing these qualifications) FA Advanced Youth Award
Emergency First Aid in Football (EFAiF) medical qualification
Enhanced DBS Certificate
FA Safeguarding Children /Child Protection
Member of the FA Licensed Coaches Club
Computer literate
For logistical travel reasons, applications are invited from candidates that reside within 60 minutes maximum travel time of Scunthorpe United Football Club DN15 8TD.
